Originally from Saratoga Springs, NY, he received his culinary education from Johnson & Wales in Denver, CO. He continued sharpening his skills and expanding his creativity under the talented chefs at Nikolai’s Roof at the Hilton in Atlanta, GA. To better understand the catering industry, he oversaw tastings and VIP events at Proof of the Pudding, one of the oldest catering companies in Atlanta. He then moved to the mountains of North Georgia and opened Local Chef, a personal chef and small-scale catering business. Collaborating with the talent of the farmers, butchers, mixologists, event planners, bakers, chefs, and event and hospitality coordinators in these mountains has given him the confidence, alongside his wife Clare, to establish Artifact — an exclusive culinary experience utilizing seasonal heirloom ingredients and reclaimed spaces.
